Hi,

I'm pretty new to the whole Joomla thing, i'm teaching myself the basic of it and am pretty rusty. I'm having a bit of a problem with Admiror Gallery. I've installed it and followed all the instructions for it to work properly, but unfortunately when i click on the tab that its on, it just loads a blank white page.

Can any one help please.

The version of Joomla is 1.5.25

And the Admiror details are -
Component Version: 3.0.180
Plugin Version: 3.1.0
Button Version: 1.0.2

the site is as follows www.sweetcupcakeshop.co.uk

I'm not sure if you need any other details but please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for your time and help.

Chris

Hi

I cannot find a link to Admiror Gallery on you website, I see that you changed it with some other plugin that imports images from flicker.

Anyway, blank screen usually means that there is some problem with creating thumbnails. If you have very large images, or BMP image can cause a white page.

Other then that you should get some kind of error.

Let me know if you still want to use Admiror Gallery and I will try to help as much as I can :)

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, i added the flickr gallery just so the guys i'm doing the website for can see some progress, but i'm very interested in using Admiror.

I'll try reducing the files in size, does it matter about the name of the files?

Thanks again.

Chris

AG won't like spaces. Use _ or - or somesuch.

(Not sure if you are using spaces but that's a heads-up! :) )

Also, they will need to be one of the main formats like JPG or TIFF

I see that Admiror Gallery is working now :) By the name of the images (IMG_XYZ.jpg), I guess that the resolution of some images was the problem :)

In general, this should be reworked, so that in this case, when you have a few images that are too big, instead of just white screen we should display error message. Something like : "Image [name] is too big. You have 100mb(read from config) reserved for your application max image size is [resolution]" but just "Image is to big" would be much better than the current :)

So many ideas but so little time :( I hope soon I will find some time to implement, at least, some thing I already promised to do :)
