Captions without file extensions and Paused slideshow

Hi,
i have a question about template galleryView
i would like to know is it possible to set captions not to show file extensions (.jpg),
and second question: i dont like auto play slides, can we pause it?

To pause it the best way is to set very large number for transition_interval. To do that open index.php from galleryView template folder and change:

So now transition will happen only if someone stays at your page for a whole day
To remove extension, one way is to define caption for every image or to make a small hack in agGallery.php in function writeDescription($imageName).
