Thumbnails

Hi,

I am using gallery view and I want to use different thumbnails to those generated. I have tried overwriting them in the thumbs folder but it reverts back.

Is there a way to either do this please, or just get the thumbnail to show the left hand side of the image and not the center section?

Well the way you tried is OK, but you have to create thumbnails with exactly the same dimensions as the plugin creates.
Because Admiror Gallery checks width and height to determine if settings have been changed to recreate the thumbnails if needed.

So if you add a thumbnail with different dimensions from the ones set in parameters, your thumb will be overwritten.

Hi,

trying your suggestion to use the same size (height/width) for the thumbnails (PNGs) does not work for me!
They always get overwritten immediately.
Is there anything more to take care for?

In general, no. Thumbs only need to be the same dimensions and same names as the one automatically generated. Also I don't need to mention that they have to be of the same format

So if your thumbnails are 200x120 (default value) you custom thumbnail should be exactly the same width and height.
