[BUG] Image manager image root problem

Well, in general, the latest update is only for some small language fixes and German language translations are added.

No major fix is included, hopefully it will be in the next few days

Depending from your Provider you can try a php.ini in the "installation" and "administrator" directory, with following entry: magic_quotes_gpc = off

Didn't test the installer of Joomla! 3.0 so cannot say what is the problem but will do.

As for changing the default image path. Yes this is a known problem and I didn't find a solution yet. And I can appeal one more time if someone knows how I can include plugin parameters in the component view and to enable editing of that params, don't hesitate to say or post a link where I can learn how to do it

In the mean time, to change the Default Image path, you can go to plugin settings (Extensions->Plugin Manager-> Admiror Gallery). Changing the params here will change the params for the component, also.

I hope in the next few days I will finish my current work and focus more on Admiror Gallery issues

Via the plugin .. it's not possible to change the current_folder within the ag_image_manager.

I've changed the following code

• administrator/com_admirorgallery/config.xml
  administrator/com_admirorgallery/views/button/tmpl/default.xml
  administrator/com_admirorgallery/views/imagemanager/tmpl/default.php

in all these files I'changed sampledata => stories

Now it works fine for me.

I'm aware of the problems with parameters, and you can see that I added a notice to everyone using Admiror Gallery 4 for Joomla 2.5, that this is a known problem.
Also I asked if anyone knows a way how this could be fixed. Because I currently don't have the time to deal with this, but as soon as I find some time I will put some effort in solving this problem.
In the mean time, please be patient.

You've read http://docs.joomla.org/Component_parameters I take it? It seems the way params are handled has changed from 1.5 to 2.5.

Yes, and this is OK for Joomla! 1.5, in fact I think that I used this when creating the component

But mystery, for me, is this part :

it uses JParameter which has been superseded by JForm

If you stumble upon a link that has some basic example of how can I create the same thing with JForms, as I could with JParameter that would be nice

JParameter has a nice method render(), so in 3.x.x versions I just set the path to the XML with parameters, and called $params->render(); to display parameters and they were automatically enabled for editing.

So far I managed to do the first thing, to display the parameters I just need to make them editable.

I don't think this is too hard to do, just need some spare time for it
